Tucumán House

Location: 1001 Tucumán, Belgrano Neighbourhood - Bariloche
Building: Single-Family Housing – 393,00m² - 1983-1995

This house is set in a plot of land in the Alto Belgrano Neighbourhood, with a pronounced steepness and amazing views over the Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Above this topography, three levels are organized, which are internally and externally connected by staircases and terraces.

The house seeks to maximize its condition of openness and integration towards the nature that surrounds it, opening itself completely towards the north and inclosing itself towards the road of access.

From the pedestrians' entrance one can perceive a strong volumetric symmetry in its roofs and central mirrored skylight, supported by a colonnade that emphasizes the node in which the access is set.

The living room and dining room was conceived as the heart of the house. The functional limit between the living room and dining room is set by a two-story height with a bridge that goes through and finishes with a balcony.

A viewpoint crowns the whole roof and opens up towards the four cardinal points, from where one can appreciate an unbeatable, beautiful landscape.
